How do I pay for my care?
Oaklands Healthcare offer care at very reasonable prices. To find out more about
how much our services cost you can contact us, and we will be happy to talk things
through with you. You can call us anytime between 9 -
(01600) 772259
Once you have decided how much care you want, and we start to provide your care, you will be sent statements. You can choose whether to pay by cheque or by Direct Debit.
Can I get financial help?
If you are unsure of whether you are entitled to help paying for your care you can contact your local social services, who should be able to inform you of all the options available to you.
Social Services will then carry out an assessment to decide whether you entitled to full or part time funding (if any). If your wish you care to be provided by Oaklands, you must express this wish to your social worker.
The right to choose...
Once you know if you are entitled to financial assistance you can choose to pay via Direct Payments. This gives you more choice.
You are eligible to do this providing you can manage your own money, make decisions about how it should be spent, and keep simple records of it.
Direct Payments put you in control.
For example, a person is not obliged to use the service provider recommended by their
Council, and it also means that you have direct control over how your funding is
allocated (rather than your social worker).
Before we start to deliver your care we
will visit you in your own home to talk with you about your personal care needs,
you can then tell us your requirements and preferred payment method.
We want you
remain in full control of your life.
